Things to share this week

1. Digital art: Ian Hubert's DYNAMO DREAM Episode 1: Salad Mug. Watch this and keep in mind that ONE person made everything, from scratch, with just a few friends helping out as acting talent. Ian is a true wizard. Can't wait for episode 2, though it might be a while — it took him 3 years of working 4 hours a day on this to get it done.2. Video games: Mass Effect Legendary Edition came out last month for PC and consoles. I played the original series about ten years ago, and the story is one of the best I've seen in any medium. I love anything open world, and Bethesda Games always deliver in terms of player decisions shaping the story. The remastered version is a delight, with updated graphics and improved game mechanic. I recommend this even if you didn't play the originals. A real treat for sci-fi fans.3. Books: Bird by Bird, by Annie Lamott. Lamott's words hit hard for anyone who thinks of themselves as creative. Open and witty and inspiring, though blessedly not a self-help pep talk.4. Film & TV: Netflix's Explained series. 20-30 minute episodes on a wide range of topics, from diamonds to the racial wealth gap. It's also got a killer intro tune.5. Podcasts: You'll Do, by Catherine Bohart and Sarah Keyworth. This was a series by BBC Radio 4 that had a short run during the 2020 lockdown. Bohart and Keyworth were a couple who hosted other couples with unconventional relationships. It's also available as a podcast on all the main apps, e.g., Apple, Spotify.

Enjoy!

Until next time, be good.

Best regards,

Art
