Aliens in Rakka and The Hero of Ages

Things to share this week
1. Books: The Mistborn Trilogy by Brandon Sanderson. I've just finished this epic saga, featuring metal-powered magicians and a quest to save the world. Sanderson's love of worldbuilding and squeezing a magic system for all its worth really makes this series something special. Pure escapsim.2. Graphic Novel: The Witch Boy by Molly Knox Ostertag. Magic is for witches, shapeshifting for boys. But young Aster can't get the hang of shapeshifting, and has a knack for magic. A sweet story about finding acceptance in your community, with Molly Ostertag's beautiful artwork to go with it.3. YouTube: How Falling Behind Can Get You Ahead by David Epstein. This TedX talk stood out to me, addressing how we value early bloomers over people who take time to find their true calling.4. Film/TV: Oats Studios. A brilliant series of short movies just dropped on Netflix, but you can see them on the IMDB link above. Very quirky and sometimes just plain odd. I loved them. First episode, Rakka, is a real treat, featuring Sigourney Weaver fighting yet more aliens.5. Music: Take Me Home, Country Road by John Denver. This song relaxes me. Maybe you like it too.
Until next time, be good.
Best regards,
