Things to share this week
1. Books: Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir. I just finished this absolute gem of survival fiction. Andy Weir has his winning formula and he shines again in his latest book. The Martian on steroids — more spaceships, more peril, more oh-so-clever solutions using basic science, and way more dad-jokes.2. Stationery: Leuchtturm1917 notebooks. I like notebooks a lot and like to try out new ones, but I just bought another Leuchtturm1917 A5 notebook in bright yellow, and I was reminded why they always win. The craftmanship is just second to none.3. Music: War of Hearts by Ruelle. I'm not very good at music in general, but this one's been stuck in my head lately.4. Film/TV: Ali Plumb's interviews, BBC Radio 1. Ali Plumb interviews film stars as a genuine fan, and you can tell that he puts a lot of them at their ease, especially during exhausting worlwide press tours. They air on the radio and BBC iPlayer, but if you're not from the UK, the link above goes to the YouTube channel so you can see them.5. Books: Six Easy Pieces by Richard Feynman. A real forerunner of modern 'accessible science' books, Feynman's Six Easy Pieces introduces some basic lessons in physics with his famous enthusiasm and insight. I've read this one many times, and I always feel like I've learned something new.
Until next time, be good.
Best regards,
